Please remember that all Officers and Board Members must be members in good standing.

BECOME ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN HFMA!
HFMA is a volunteer organization with the mission of providing high quality and timely educational opportunities to its members. The Chapter annually relies upon the efforts of its members to achieve this goal. Please do your part by becoming an active Council or Forum member. Various opportunities are available which complement a wide range of job duties, time requirements, and specialties. Listed below are the various Councils/Forums and their objectives. Through active participation you can network with other members, increase your knowledge of "hot topics" in the industry, and become an active voice in legislative issues at the local, state and national levels. Please review the information below, indicate which Council(s)/Forum(s) would be of interest to you, and return this form with the enclosed ballot.

| Membership Recruitment | Increase and retain the membership of the Chapter. Promote the value of HFMA to the healthcare profession in general throughout the state. |
| Professional Excellence | Advise Chapter Officers and Board on the needs, opportunities and resources available to improve the level of member knowledge through education. Increase the number of certified members in the Chapter. |
| Program | Coordinate the development of Chapter Institutes and Programs. |
| Projects | Develop and complete healthcare issue-related projects. Enhance the awareness of HFMA and the profile of the Chapter among college students throughout the state. |
| Publications | Coordinate publication of the Bama Chatter and the Chapter Membership Directory. |
| Quality | Develop quality management processes at the Chapter level. Provide feedback to Chapter Officers and Board on member satisfaction with programming efforts. |
| CFO Forum | Address specific needs of Chapter member and non-member CFOs. Enhance the awareness of HFMA and the profile of the Chapter among member and non-member senior financial executives at healthcare organizations throughout the state. |
| Patient Financial Services Forum | Address specific needs of PFS-related members and non-members. Develop educational programs that enhance the awareness of HFMA and the profile of the Chapter among member and non-member professionals whose duties impact the revenue cycle. |
| Compliance Forum | Address specific needs of Compliance Officers and others responsible for compliance related issues. Develop educational programs that enhance the awareness of HFMA and the profile of the Chapter among member and non-member professionals whose duties impact the compliance process. |
| Technology Forum | Advise Chapter Officers and Board on the needs, opportunities and resources available to utilize technology to achieve Chapter goals. Maintain Chapter website and coordinate the flow of relevant information from the various Councils/Forums to the website. |
